I need to lose approximately 5 stone I reckon.

It was 5 and a half but I have managed to shake off half a stone doing weight watchers this week so at least I don't have to lose 5.5 stone eh?

I'm a size 20. I want to be size 14. I have given myself 2 years to do this.

Thing is I am one of those people with no middle gear when it comes to diet and exercise. Its one extreme or the other plus I have an underactive thyroid.

So - I need to remember that. The weightwatchers should help with the balance between binge and starve. I am not going to go to the gym more than 4 days a week so I don't get sick of it.

I reckon I will post on here every couple of weeks when I weigh in just to have a record.

Wish me luck :)

All the best. Keep up with the postings, I have found it an encouragement not to self humiliate by failing or giving up lol.

Good luck. I've got about 5 stone to go, having lost one already. And whilst I haven't set a time goal, I'm very much "Miss Turtle" when it comes to weight loss - slow and steady (which is why the first stone has taken me 6 months!). I know that would kill a lot of people, but it's how I work best, working it round a couple of crappy times in my life that have happened in the interim without giving up entirely, still being able to eat out as I want to, and so on.

I rarely feel I'm on a diet, I just feel that I'm making better choices, both diet and exercise-wise.

The trick with this is for each person to sort out what works best for them - fast and hard, slow and steady, somewhere in between, powered by a dominant figure - and stick with it!

Good luck - it's all good.

Good luck!

I need to get rid of the weight I gained during my recovery time. I'm hating it and decided to be weak and go the fast route as my regular weight loss was being too slow so went back onto a Very Low Calorie Diet again... Struggling and hating it as all the food packs are making me feel sick.

Gym - still trying to go four times a week but last week was three times and two two hour walks over the weekend with the doggie. Unfortunately I've injured my arm somehow and am aching constantly...

Bleh

Danke Schoen, darling Danke Schoen. Thank you for all the joy and pain.
