Hello all, I have recently started playing using a homemade suspension kit which works very well apart from one slight problem. The ankle and arm cuffs I have are too stiff and tend to dig into my arm and ankles when suspended. This is a bit of a problem as they stop my circulation and so I cant spend as much time as I would like suspended. Does anyone have any suggestions of some suitable cuffs that are perhaps made of softer leather so are a bit more flexible. Thankyou in advance SJx | |

What are the home made things made from? If it's leather, try working some mink wax or something into it with your hands, flexing them about to soften them up. You can take the edges off just by getting them damp and working away with your hands or a round edge, the back of a spoon or similar. It's nice to make your own kit, so long as it works! Why poison your liver when I could eat it for you?

I use these peronally too, they are lovely. I also use the same additional set to hire to my guests as part of the suspension package and find they just get better with age too. Our suspension cuffs were recommended by Skin Two. They are made from pre-stretched top grade English stirrup butt with a luxurious extra soft suede lining for extra comfort. The main advantage of these cuffs is that you can hold onto the non-slip rubber handle, rather than being suspended by the wrists. | |
