Until I started shaving my head about 5 years ago I had used an electric razor since I was about 20. Now I normally shave in the shower with a "wet razor"
Often I just want a quick shave without having to have a shower too or stand trying to shave my head in front of the sink
Does anyone who shaves their head have experience of using an electric razor on it and if so what (previously I had always used a Philishave)

Thunder I have to say that you come a very distant second to Natalie Portman

My (pretty basic) dual-foil shaver from Boots works well on my head (shaving against the direction of growth, eg from nape of neck upwards), with the following caveats: > it doesn't cope very well with more than about two days' growth, and doesn't cope at all after 3-4 days' growth. > the foils need to be passed more slowly over the head than over the face (especially with more than say 12-24 hours' growth) > repeat passes are necessary to get a close shave (again, especially with more than 12-24 hours' growth) I normally wet-shave my head under a running shower at the gym, but use an electric razor to top-up inbetweentimes if I want the newly-shaved look.

Thanks - for the record I bought a new Philishave (don't know how much of the cost was for the razor and what for the "washing machine" which spectacularly cleans lubricates and charges it I found in fact it does my head too though until I bought some pre electric shave it made my neck very sore. Advantage of course also is , as it's re-chargeable, I can now shave anywhere ^Thunder^ |
