It was a bit quiet, but we had a good time - we were actually disappointed when they wanted to close up at 2am because we wanted to keep going.

I did speak to Caprice. She isn't into the fetish scene at all herself, and has plans to refocus the club away from that and aim it more at the club / lap dancing market (which bristol is full of).

I agree it's a good physical location (if a bit cold at times; and the padding on the 'beds' in the private rooms has been removed) but it looks likes the management have no interest in supporting us - and told me as such.

Sorry to inform you mate, but everything you say is totally correct..we DONT support you, we had 3 complaints about you, one married couple that DO infact buy a drink when they come to the club left due to the fact that he had to tell you three times to get out of his wifes face.

So really its a good thing that you dont enjoy yourself at the club as you wont be coming anymore.

What an appalling way to treat someone.

Why didn't the organisers deal with this immediately if there was an issue? If I attended as a single female and was being harassed inappropriately by someone the last thing I'd want is you telling them via a post sometime later. I'd expect you to deal with it there and then.

The other side to it is how cowardly and filled with cheap shots this post makes you appear Geoff.

You've failed to answer any of the questions asked of you and instead have dug a deeper hole. Maybe it's time to put the shovel down?

It's very hard to understand in which direction the club is heading, there have been 'U' turns by the dozen and a systematic falling out with Swingers, Transgendered and BDSM with some very harsh words indeed being said by both manangement and customers on just about every forum,

Chopping and changing about of events and membership conditions has not exactly endeared customers towards the management, many of us in the TG community supported the club wholeheartedly from it's inception and yours truly was once publicly described as the clubs biggest supporter, so what went wrong and why has it continued that way? it must be down to the management for many of us now travel to South Wales, Gloucestershire, Worcester, Bedfordshire and London to events where our custom is met with a friendly attitude from management and valued.

I hear that there will be a new person at the club as announced on facebook, named as Caprice this person has a profile on TV Chix as <capriceldiva> from Harlow Essex and described as a 'T' girl, it's not clear whether she is taking on the overall management of the club or just helping out with events as others have in the past. If the former is the case then if Ms Caprice were to get out and about to Munch groups and area Transgendered meetings and build some bridges the club may have some chance of making the specialised events a success, the clubs original founder Kaz did just that at least a year before the club opened it's doors.

If it's the same old same with just a few trimmings then I think I will be resigned to continuing to travel to the more distant events

Well if you say it here on IC..then it must be the truth...I must be a coward....reckon I,ll take your advice and go lay "the shovel down"

I could say I was,nt in the Club the night this incident happened, I could say the husband rang me the following day...I could say a shedload of stuff...but.... I simply dont give a damm anymore.

What anyone says on this forum just does,nt bother me any more....Iam not there so why should it.

The comments on IC and ones made to me privately last year are well documented in the Clubs diary, over the course of one w/end we got 97 posts to condem me and Club O...not forgeting a whopping £1400 spent not 2 weeks before on new dungeon kit....and by way of a thanks we 97 posts to tear the club and me personally apart.

But thats all in the past now...I prefer to now say.. you lot go your way and I,ll go mine and hopefully neither will set eyes on eachother ever again.

Club O will now go mainstream dance club, no pole dancers.....banging chart anthems...so best you ALL stayway, then you wont have any more to say about the Club .....or will you ??

I just cant let you get away with this Dave....."what went wrong"?...one word....YOU....you split this t-girl community in Bristol wide open...with your free this and free that...boat trips up the river...every event in Bristol has Divina plastered all over it....even Divina @ Bristol. !!!.and the reason...all because we never answered your letters.

I find it sad that you have to buy your friends...I wonder how many friends you would have if you stopped providing free parties.

I step back from Club O...but Iam happy in the knowledge that a certain band of your close sisters,,YOU included will never set foot in Club O again...that pleases me.

Just to be clear, I've never been to club-o, I don't know you nor to my knowledge do I know anyone who even has the slightest "grudge" against you.

If you genuinely don't give a damn, and have no emotion vested in this then why return to the site after saying categorically that you wouldn't? I suspect you do care about providing a great place for the scene and you've been hurt by people's reactions. It's a shame as it sounds like you have a lot of great play space and equipment, and the heart to make it want to work. Maybe you have came across some plonkers - but from what I have read people have simply been annoyed (imo rightfully) at lack of consistency.

It's a shame you seem unable to take constructive criticism and work with your customers to provide something that they actually want. I can see now why you've had to go in a different direction and find someone who can manage that direction for you. I genuinely believe if you could find someone for a similar position for your BDSM nights you'd find yourself having a roaring success - someone who loves club o, someone willing to do a little marketing and PR, and someone happy with say free entry/membership for them and a friend so it doesn't spiral costs for you.

I think all the negativity has made you lash out at people, and it's just not the right way to do business - hell it's not even the right way to be a decent human being. Maybe I am being far too naive here, but I suspect that's annoying you more than anything else - that this constant battling is taking you away from being the happy well rounded person you were before.

Jules9 I have to say I totally agree with absolutly everything that you have said..but unlike you I have been to club O ,from the very beginning when Kaz and Anne ran the very successful and busy club.Over the last year or so I have seen various groups of people alienated , one by one, because they dared to voice their opinions, until no one was going there anymore, and the club and its vibrant spirit was well and truly killed.I have sat back and observed all the nasty comments made by both sides and kept out of them, and not had a personal problem with geoff, but responses to people and comments made not just on here but also on the CLUB O forum lead me to say that inconsistencies ,lack of people skills, and lack of a clear vision of what the club should be has killed it. "You can please some of the people all of the time, and all of the people some of the time, but you cannot please all of the people all of the time".

Running any sort of event demands people skills. Look at any successful events and you'll find that it boils down to the fact that at the heart of it are people who passionately believe in what they're doing and who have an infectious enthusiasm.

That's not what we're seeing here. In fact we're seeing an example of how not to do it.

I'm actually quite sad Geoff that the only local initiative has come to nothing, my own events were private every other month on the 2nd Sat with your 'T' girl one on the 3rd Sat. I never clashed with your events and both Kaz and Anne and yourself and Deb came to mine with an invitation to promote your event, fliers were always on the table, OK my event was free except for BYO but there were never organized boat trips though the yard launch was used for the odd trip around the dock for no more than half a dozen girls but hardly a proper boat trip as has been organized later this year where a licensed passenger boat has been hired at a full commercial rate and an appropriate charge is being made to guests.

As has been said before, me and my sister 'T' girls tried hard to make a success of your 'T' girl nights, some came from afar and were picked up at the train station and put up at mine and the caravan with Kendra overnight and transported to and from the club with at least a couple of us foregoing alcohol so we could do the driving, we really couldn't have done more to help your club nights.

You say 'DAVINA' is the problem, well I must disagree, I have always run my own events professionally even though it's not any sort of business, lots of 'T' girls have been grateful for making an escape via mine from the closet graduating to bolder things like coming to your club, it's always been 'COMPLIMENTARY' and not in 'COMPETITION' it's been my way of supporting the community which has become my life, I'm full time now and legally Davina Louise L*** and although I'm female 24/7 and have to present business wise in smart atttire I still love the fetish side and some BDSM activity.

The problem with Club O as I see it is it's management style and I must say I have never seen any business hurl such abuse at it's clientelle as you have done, it's no wonder it's not working sad though that is after it's promising start by Kaz and Anne.

I went along to the first Fresh event. I doubt I will be going on a Saturday again. To me it seemed like a regular gay and TV friendly event, with quite a few guys wearing regular street gear. If I wanted that, I could go to Flamingos.

However, I am very keen to support and even promote the Fetish nights at club O. At the moment they are planned for Sundays, but if there is enough interest, perhaps the management will agree to one Friday a month. I hope so.

I know that SWAMP is held on Sundays, but I prefer something a little more lively. For the serious BDSM it is probably great but it was rather sombre for me.

Anyone else interested in trying to keep Club O Fetish nights going?
