I know quite a few people have had issues with the way club O has been running and doing things this last year, but I wondered if anyone else had seen this and had any more information on it? There's a Club O facebook page, and there's a note on there currently saying the following:
There is also this message on their wall from someone called Caprice:
There's a link to this new event too: Fresh Now, by the looks of things, this event will be every saturday night, thus getting rid of the Fetish/BDSM nights. If that's the case, why would they have the need of the dungeon any more, and will they be keeping the equipment in case a group wants to hire it out at any other time? Any more info? Any opinions? Thoughts on this new girl? Feel free to discuss! If anything further happens on the facebook page (as promised for tomorrow) I'll update everyone with what's there too. As promised, the facebook page was updated today:
This is EVERY sunday!!! Membership is also free for a limited time. Looks as if the dungeon is staying after all. No idea quite how many people will be down there every week though?! Also seems a little silly to have parties on a Sunday when a)people have work on Mondays and b)with SWAMP on a Sunday. That's just my thoughts though. | ||

There is a thriving scene in Bristol already, and at least one sunday would clash with SWAMP, so no guesses on where I'd rather be. I'm also extremely cynical....why facebook?? of all places with all the very serious problems facebook poses, why not on IC , Why not try and repair the burnt bridges that I know have happened with Club O and everyone else except the swingers, Personally, so much had happened, so much has gone on, and been extremely bitter. Far to much has been said , and extremely nastily said, by IC posts from the club O management and others
And we have new venues now It will take a miracle for things to change now | ||

I always felt that time ought to be allowed for the dust to settle.. IMHO it's a good venue (where else, locally, has ceiling suspension points) with some nice kit now - it's a real shame for that to be wasted over a few bad words.
That having been said, I kinda like it when it's not too busy, and there's room to swing (even for Wulfy, just) Nicki | ||

Agreed - it's the only venue of its kind out in these parts. I might be interested in going back, though I'm not sure my membership is still valid. | ||

I was down at Club O on the first sat this month (After the bristol munch) It was a bit quiet, but we had a good time - we were actually disappointed when they wanted to close up at 2am because we wanted to keep going. I did speak to Caprice. She isn't into the fetish scene at all herself, and has plans to refocus the club away from that and aim it more at the club / lap dancing market (which bristol is full of). I agree it's a good physical location (if a bit cold at times; and the padding on the 'beds' in the private rooms has been removed) but it looks likes the management have no interest in supporting us - and told me as such. | ||

It's a shame that it's going to be on Sundays - I think a Friday or Saturday once a month would be more beneficial than every Sunday (especially because I doubt anyone who goes to swamp would go on a swamp weekend). I'd be very interested to hear anyone's experiences if they do go along. Come to the Cardiff fish and chips munch |
