I am undecided and yes I know some of you will be saying something about being a dichotomy I am going to get a piercing done and I really cannot make up my mind. Both look good but both have drawbacks with the main one being the ability to pee in diferent directions after having a PA! Is it really that bad? Can anybody who has either a frenum or a PA offer me some advice please. I would like a PA but I have heard that urinating can get messy due to the 2 streams, is this true? Likewise, I have heard that a frenum, and I am talking about through the frenum just below the head, can have problems with the potential to tear, particularly when I am thinking of wearing a ring through it with a leash attached. Any advice welcome TVM d Experience is a harsh teacher, she gives the test first and the lesson later

I am not cut and have had a PA on several occasions before circumstance forced removal. However, I found peeing an inconvenience at worst. It may be different if you're cut but from my perspective, I didn't see much difference from normal toilet behaviours. My PA evolved into an apadravya which is the best.. ! Good luck !

Well I have both, so I can tell you the frenum gives the most sensation, or it does me anyway, but as you say the fold of skin it is through is quite fragile. I usually wear a bar as it is often 'too much' with a ring.. and if you follow your intention you will have to be very careful indeed not to tear it..and the weight of the chain is also a consideration. Catching it will be a problem. A PA has all sorts of weird side effects. You do actually extend the body with it, it becomes part of the nervous system. The sensations are not as intense as the frenum but are in a new place where there was little before (at least for me), i.e. inside. I wear a 'smooth segment' ring which is much more comfortable than a bcr or horseshoe barbell, as it turns and there is no pressure from the ball. Sensations do vary with what you wear and how large a diameter / what weight it is.
You will learn that peeing is just something you have to adapt to. Sitting down is the easiest solution, reversing the end so the ring is uppermost is also an option, but often insufficient and difficult to manage. I have thought of using a tube.. but not tried this out - you'd have to carry it all the time! I tried having mine out after several years with it in, and tbh I hated the lack of feeling and soon put it back. I've had mine for about 17 years now I think.. its really part of me. And your partner will notice the difference, wheras a frenum is not as noticeable and doesn't reach the parts a PA does 'To Oblivion, and beyond!'

You would need to be reasonably gentle with a frenum - unless you want to lose it (which apparently isn't that painful, but inconvenient if you like being pierced there). Come to the Cardiff fish and chips munch

If you are un-cut then a PA will make no difference to peeing. If you are cut then most people recommend you rotate the BCR so the ball is against the outside of the piercing so it blocks the hole.

I've had a PA ten years, and can't say I've ever had a peeing problem with it. Not once.
And never regretted it. It's been damn good... And at polite parties it makes an interesting conversational ice breaker. If not a literal one, depending on the party... Any photographer who says he's not a voyeur is either stupid or a liar. - Helmut Newton

No. Only problem with being uncut is getting the right size ring - Too big and it rubs against the inside of the foreskin and makes it sore. A bananbell can be a problem too as the foreskin is constantly pressing on the ball at the end against the piercing - trying to push it into the piercing. Its OK once the piercing is fully healed, before that it can make it quite sore. Advantage of being uncut is the ring doesn't get knocked around as much. But this means the piercing doesn't get stretched at all by the movement of the ring. So going up a size may need use of an insertion pin to stretch the piercing.
