i have had cause to ring up my car insurance company to change my policy tonight. So far i have been waiting in the queue for 20 minutes and i am still on hold.
i would do it online however they are saying that isnt available right now, and as its essential that i change my policy i have no other option than to sit and listen to mindless music and stupid adverts whilst i wait for someone to finally select my call.
At the time of writing this blog i am still listening to the music and likely to be for some time to come.

i honestly dont swear that often really. But after sitting on the phone patiently listening to crappy music waiting to actually talk to a human being i finally get a machine tell me, after over 30 minutes of waiting, that they are having technical problems and cannot talk to me at the moment and to try them again later. All i can say is fucking AVIVA at least when it was Norwich i was given the honour of talking to what passed for a human.
Oh well the saga will continue ......

If the online system isn't available, then the delay is probably increased by that. Buying insurance is easier though, that can all be done online unless there is something odd. Use the comparison sites, then do Direct Line and the few others worth bothering with direct. S -- To err is human but to really fowl things up requires a computer - anon | |||

thank you for the advice geekdom, however as i already have a policy with them it would be senseless to take out a new policy. All i want to do is change the policy to another car. the two songs they play me are walking on sunshine and have a nice day. And yes i am trying again and so far have been waiting for 40 minutes. And this is on the line that costs me money, i have tried the free number and waited on that one for 20 minutes. Silly me thought that they might answer the paying one a bit quicker lol. i am now seriously considering suicide, once i have found someone who would be willing to blow up the bloody call centre im calling. !!!!!
