Homeopathy (31)
MushroomGirl's profile

For some reason tonight I feel the need to make my feelings known that homeopathy is a complete and utter load of toss.
My view of course would be different if I were the one getting insanely rich off the back of it.
Some links which probably better explain my views.

Like everything, there is good and bad.
Q What did people use before Beechams etc factories?
A Natural products
If they were successful they got burned as witches.
Homeopaths just can't win!

Yes they can. Just present evidence from randomised double-blind trials under controlled conditions, which shows repeatable results superior to placebo. Piece of cake.
Oh, hang on - they can't. According to homeopaths, those sort of trials aren't valid for their special remedies. Instead, they presumably rely on their own assessments which the rest of us are not equipped to understand.

There is NO good or bad regarding homeopathy. It is just completely ineffective which is what upsets me.
There is a world of difference between chewing on a piece of willow bark which actually contains an effective analgesic to cure pain and taking statistically negligable quanties of random plants essentially because someone 'just decided' that those would cure the common cold. It is madness, foolishness and I have had enough of it.
You say homeopaths can't win... Oh but they can, they do and they have. And that is precisely the problem.
On the other hand I genuinely quesiton why I care that a bunch of GROLIs (Guardian Readers of Limited Intelligence) want to believe in this crap.
I've just had it with the stupidity.
Fuck homeopathy. Fuck it in the ass and leave a suppository of enlightenment there. "Quit? I think it was the horoscope thread that set me off... Horoscopes are only topped by homeopathy in terms of flakey crap. "Quit?
