Several failed attempts, several years.
I got back from a seminar Purrverse and I were talking at about sex blogging, sexual subcultures and feminism, opened my email.....
AND I GOT PHD FUNDING!!!! So much underachievement and failure to date that I actually find it difficult to believe that the university is just going to fund four years of my study. I'm writing about disgust/abjection, sexuality and law with chapters on watersports, female ejaculation and ultraviolence.....
It is possible. It can be done. And I'm so bloody happy I could cry.

Aww, many thanks. I've flirted with so many different disciplines and applied for several... But Law is a really exciting area for gender and sexuality and the possibilities of actually influencing government policy. SO EXCITED! And slightly tipsy... Many congratulations with getting that. I know myself through my experiences just how damn hard it is to get any funding at all.. But for 4 yrs and for a PHD... That's brilliant stuff. Wishing you all the best with it. | |
