Going to visit a litter of Golden Doodles tomorrow, which would be a better pet a boy or girl?

Bitches - pro easier to toilet train, less territorial when older, Con can be moodier than a boy plus spaying operation is expensive. Dogs - the opposite Either way a loyal friend...I wouldn't choose a golden doodle though! GSD's and rhodesian ridgebacks all the way! Artificial intelligence is no match for natural stupidity. Language is an annoying necessity!

There isnt really much difference between the sexes if the dog is trained correctly from the beginning. There is however a difference in sizes and the doodles can start quite large..
Also just a thought, I have heard, from quite a few independent sources that it is best to get a first cross- i.e the parents being a labrador and a poodle, rather than two doodles.. worth checking out I hope you have lots of fun with your puppy ,whatever you decide They say, the best men are moulded out of faults; And, for the most, become much more the better for being a little bad.

If you don't have a strong opinion, keep an open mind and go for the individual that appeals to you most. Depending on your views on doggy contraception, the male vs female thing could have a number of financial factors (so eg if you have a female then she could have puppies but there can be numerous vet bills to cover relating to this) Mines a boy. The only man I trust! We are truly in love <3 awww
Have fun choosing your lil bundle of joy! It's nice to be important, but it's more important to be nice

Oooh you lucky thing! I had a Doodle, just a normal black one though, and a 1st cross at that. She was a big bundle of energy, but such an amazing dog. One word of caution - at less than 18 months old she weighed nearly 31kg and was 27 inches to her shoulder, so a big hefty girl. As far as which sex, well, I have met quite a few Doods of both sexes, and they are all as bonkers as each other, and I've never really heard of any major probs between the different sexes. I think the main thing is to check the hip scores for the parents if you are getting a 1st cross and obviously then one of the parents is a lab (I think its usually the bitch). Good luck! I dont have a quote so I'll leave this bit blank...........cos I dont want to use up space till I have something really good to put here
