Absolutly, only one reason to kick a girl out of bed!

I don't tend to reserve particular things as punishments: I try to make it clear why the unpleasant thing is happening. ("This isn't a punishment, I'm just feeling sadistic" vs "I'm disappointed, so you can sleep there and think about how wrong that was." etc.)

I've not used sleeping on the floor in a punitive context for a long time, but it is striking how context can change exactly the same acts into a cause of tearful sobbing, or for an embarrassed little voice to request some furtive "me time".
