I have had a few memos and texts suggesting that I have been quiet of late, and asking Me why.
So here goes.
My blood pressure is currently running excessively high, about fifty per cent higher than it should be, both upper and lower numbers. The doctor doesn't seem to know what is causing it, and has given me tablets to bring it down.
The tablets give all the signs that they are doing so, making me feel dizzy, slowing me down, and yet the blood pressure remains excessively high, with no signs of it abating.
I am still waiting for tests from another doctor to find out what the problem is with my throat. I break out into uncontrollable coughing fits at a moments notice, and they are both painful and embarrassing.
The place I work in is in the process of being sold, and I have no idea what the future holds once this has been done. I don't know if I will still have a job or not, and we, the staff, are pretty much in the dark about things. Rumours abound, but there is nothing concrete being said that gives me any light at the end of the tunnel.
So I have decided to rest and try to get my health back under control. Hopefully the doctor will soon find out why my blood pressure is through the roof, and be able to do something about it. Hopefully, the other doctor will discover what is wrong with my throat, and do something about that as well.
Also, hopefully, someone will shed light on what is happening at work, and, if all that happens, maybe, just maybe, my health will return to what it was before.
So yes, I am taking things easy for a while, and yes, I have missed a few functions along the way.
Thanks for all your good wishes, and your interest.
