I've gotten a chance to be giddy and excited about a few things recently...
One of my events is apparently a finalist for the Erotic Awards- yay! It was a whim that started in my sitting room, but that was popular and, I think, provided a safe space for women and trans/inter folk with ties to the female community. I'm so pleased to have it be acknowledged!
I'm doing a lecture on being a sex working blogger on Friday- terrified but also excited to have this opportunity.
KSL is a day or two away from selling out, which delights me. People are so excited about costumes- I haven't even started mine, but I'm totally putting together a scrabble outfit. And the decor is coming together... which is all squee! We will have JUST enough money to take care of making the event happen. Good enough for me.
I have an amazing girly ponychick, who is just sweet and smart and I consider myself lucky to have her in my life. Not only that, but I have a great puppy/boy/Daddy who is just a fantastic boyfriend. Queer savvy, geeky, feministy, hot, my friends like him- FTW. And of course there's the girl I'm teaching a bit about topping to, and getting to make out with her/whore the boy out to her... seriously? Not so bad.
So, I might be a couchsurfing drifter, and I might be poor, but damn, I have one hell of a life.
