I meant that the neighbours are likely to be bigots and that any attempt to cause problems for 'non-indigenous' tenants would probably land the neighbours in trouble.
I liked the quote on BBC radio from a nameless reporter at BBC Devon: "Lee Mill isn't a 'sleepy village' - it's a cesspit!"

Aren't the police shooting themselves in the foot anyway? http://www.thisisplymouth.co.uk/news/Police-raid... The police have released a tape and pictures of items inside the location. They may be forced to drop it under grounds of the failure to allow a fair trial. If I'm wrong correct me.

When I was part of a Dungton in Notting Hill we had a call from the Neighbourhood Policing Team that there been a report from next door about our flat being used as a brothel we invited them over to see the flat. 2 offcers turned up and was very nice they told us they was fine with what they seen they only care about brothels. Police can try and call it a brothel but the CPS will not push with going to court with it being a brothel unless there was signs of it going on as it is a mine field. but I have a point there was 2 girls (if both was dressed up 2 working girls) and a male was acting as a pimp if he was not a customer that would in law make him the pimp But it depents on the Local Constabulary views and who is pushing the buttons to act. But there is a big cue there was only one room setup as a dungton. If there was bedrooms too that would swing it as a Brothel in anyone eyes. Want good virgin sex? Once in a life time offer. From the Sun ”DS Gilroy said the rented house was in a 'nice and decent area' near a local Tesco”. "WHAT" near a Tescos – NEVER! Thought it sounded more like a Sainsbury's or Waitrose sort of area myself. It's a good job they didn't see the horse riding section in Tesco with all those whips and riding equipment. Actually, I think the papers should have said something like this instead; ……. House in Devon raided, lots of single men coming and going, Jackboots, Nazi Uniforms, handcuffs, restraints, electrical stunning devices, battons, and that was just the first wave of police…..... And near a Tesco too!

And it wasn't just BDSM-for-money that was being offered: "The court heard Somers had placed adverts in local papers from September 2009 to February 2010. These read "Roxys Massage. Very discreet location. Open seven days. Plymouth area."" IMO that should still just be a planning issue, rather than a criminal issue. The only harm they were doing was to house prices. :T: www.tanos.org.uk

Thought they had stopped all this back in the 90s. No wonder we have so many criminals and yobs running about. As for the neighbours quote about a "nice family moving in" it makes me wonder how many of the neighbours physically abuse their partners and kids and sexually abuse the kids. People should get real! Give them all a flogging I say!

4 month suspended sentence? Not much of a return for the many officers from the Force Tactical Aid Group, neighbourhood beat officers, special constables and CID who conducted the original raid. That BBC report was rather low key. Trust the Telegraph to be more sensational. The Mirror helpfully added a fresh fact - the accused "sent a text to one friend which read: Charlotte did 11 today" - though it wasn't clear if that was sex, bdsm. Or both. Naturally the local paper ran all their pictures again, including a video. In the light of the regalia at the end of that video it is surprising how restrained were the national's headlines. Note the Judge made the point "the women had not been coerced or exploited". Two interesting omissions - why did it take nearly a year to come to court for a guilty plea? Trawling through phones and pc's for other incriminating material ? And what happened to the 21 and 24 year old women also arrested at the time ? |
