The Daily Mail are obviously only concerned about certain standards. There was clearly no concern to get it straight regarding a " strait jacket".The name was derived from strait as in narrow.

would be intresting to checkout the crime rate in that area and what offences are on their records

I reckon Devon is 'sleepy' because people are getting up to too much kinky sex, and this is a deliberate warning shot / ploy to make them stop it and do normal things... like watch TV together! ;-) :-D

Every credit to the person who's session was cancelled... by the sound of it he had no problem with the Police's presence. Good for him.

This article is rediculous, just another list of items that will shock the general public. When did the police decide public humiliation was the best way to tackle whatever it is they are meant to be tackeling.

Police do need educating on how to handle delicate situations like this. Maybe, if a neighbour did hear screams coming from the building then it was right to report it, and right for the police to investigate. They could have done it a hell of alot more discretely than contacting the newspapers and posing for pictures with sex toys.

Police are not going to educate themselves though. We need to think about how this can be done.

Come on you lot, its a serious crime, much like murder, rape, theft, drug dealing and child abuse. I for one am happy that the police, rather than dealing with those minor crimes instead spend my taxes on raiding a sex dungeon. I mean, think of the victims of the crime, does it not impact on us all? I mean, think of the millions of victims across the country that will breath a sigh of relief now that the police have closed this place down, don't we all feel safer in our homes?.

No one gives a a damn whether they actually lock up murderers or arrest islamic terrorists - do we? I mean, Miss Whiplash is far more of a threat.

Glad to the police getting their priorities right - as always.

Bingo Madam Emme.. Spot on !

Happiness lies neither in vice nor in virtue; but in the manner we appreciate the one and the other, and the choice we make pursuant to our individual organization.

Why are the Police wasting valuable time, and increasingly scarce taxpayers' money on such stunts? Surely the time (and money) could be far better spent either hunting down and apprehending terrorists, or corrupt politicians fiddling their expenses.

Send all the fiddling MPs for a session of corrective therapy in south Devon, that's what I say!

To answer an earlier query, yes, several clubs have been raided. Personally, I've been at at least 3 where the police have "visited", one in north London, where they entered, looked around and left again; another, quite hifh profile where they raided The Gate when it was at Kings Cross after the club's mistress's ex blabbed to the NOTW; and the third was another police raid where again, they looked around and fucked off.

Quite why such importance is placed on our safe, sane, consensual activities is beyond me. Maybe with the withdrawal of funding for speed cameras, the police have little else to do.

Oh, don't forget, our activities "could" be responsible for the untimely death of a TV presenter this week.
