I'm interesting in weight and mental health and these topics do keep coming up. I'm not sure I have very often started a thread but I've continued them. As I've said I've no problem with my being conflated with 5 other posters as that preserves my anonymity and said above it's only a web site.

I have never despite the suggestion above said lose weight and you will get a higher IQ and various other benefits although I think that if people can stabilise their eating they will stabilise their mental as well as physical health but I know plenty of larger people who are successful in various senses. It's harder. You can discriminate in the UK on grounds of looks and weight and of course IQ in relation to employment and if losing weight and eating better makes you mentally and physically happier, if it gets you more men/women and it helps you get a better job and stops people pointing their finger at you int he street if you're so fat that they do then one answer is to lose weight. Another is to say don't care and that's fine too and plenty of people can't anyway. It's an interesting topic and nothing like simply saying no to the donuts.

What you are not getting is, everyone has a mind of their own, they are able to work out what is good for them and what is not, especially nowadays, with health care being so in your face, therefore, yes ok, say things to help, if it is asked of you, or it is a thread about healthy eating etc!!

If being "fat" was all about eating too much, then plenty thin people would be "fat", which makes me think you are clueless to real weight issues.

I do think maybe, you would be better working on the mental health issues, and look at yourself first, then maybe, just maybe, you will make more sense!

Out of interest, why did you quote me in the O.P. when I made no mention of ClassAct?

I was thinking that too

Judging from this thread alone, I would be quite interested in Admin's comments on whether ClassAct and Euripides are the same person.

Not interested enough to actually ask Admin...

I note that Euripides is quite inconsistent in certain grammatical rules. The use of the ellipsis is an example. Almost as if a quite bright person was trying to speak 'common'.

I doubt they use the same pc. I kinda like the idea of a furious Gillian-whatsername-lookalike dashing to the library; or imperiously commandeering the pc of an inoffensive little old lady (thin obviously) who lives in her block.

I seem to remember that ClassAct/Euripides tripped themselves up a while ago. A more dedicated witchfinder may recall and post the link.

Anyway: if they are not the same poster, please leave me with my illusions. It's a source of comfort to me that there are still genuinine eccentrics spreading their own brand of dottiness...

What is the problem? Everybody knows no thin person has ever suffered from depression or had the temerity to become ill.

I'm just speechless that people are continuing to fuel a whole damn thread about CA! I thought the last fat thread ended with a tiny glimmer of hope for her, and here we all are, rising to the bait from Mr. Sycophant and the whole circus comes back to town :(

You speechless ....? Making a speech? In that case I'm dumbstruck ... loquaciously ...

You call my post a speech? Now that's funny.

Well anyway, you managed one correct syllable, let's leave it there and agree on that.

What a charmer.

Sorry, I should have said "Anorexic birds..." but I was in Sarf Lunnun Dodgy Geeza mode and skinny flowed more naturally.
