My idea was to find out how people here generally perceive/use safewords. My opinion is they're necessary when beginners play or during "casual play" (there's been a discussion of its definition, not initiated by my), and that safewords intrinsically mean the sub is controlling the scene. I wonder how many edge players there are and how many of them will not be afraid to say that they have scenes where safeword is expressly excluded. I will be glad for everyone's opinion: Pro Domme's, Domme's, even sub's (and pro sub's, should there be any - there's been a thread on this on Ic as well). | |

I have a no safeword policy with all My sessions, and play. I like full control of the situation, not allow any responsiblity to the sub/slave/player.

I don't use safewords. I'm sure they have their place in certain types of play but I find them a ridiculous convention, and an excuse for abdicating responsibility. Thank You Both, maybe my translation will not be necessary, as at least this part of SSC (which is being forced upon others in IC threads frequently) has been already proven as a spoiler of things (my personal opinion).

MistressRouge - there's been another topic and someone asked about OWK dates in 2010, which are not on their site as of yet. They advertise three day weekend events, though. I'm a RACK player too and just like Mistress Rouge and Lady Anna.... I also don't use a safeword.... I've realised (over time) that it's not compatible with my style of Domination.
