With paypal you can only engage in financial transactions up to the sum of 3k before they ask you to verify the account by providing bank account details in the name of the paypal account.... this is to prevent laundering of money... ive yet to see how they are when you ring them up to inform them that you created an account in a dodgy name by 'accident' as i havent got round to doing it yet..
With my dodgy account i gifted the money to my proper paypal account and then banked it... easy peasy until they suspended the account So any other way of taking money on line, ensuring that your personal details are not disclosed to the other party would be good.

There isn't. The only payment processor who is happy to accept adult stuff these days is Alertpay and unfortunately they do disclose personal details between parties. It is possible to get Amazon certificates, and then sell them on ebay though. I think there are scam problems with that though so I don't recommend it as foolproof.

As has been said we cant very well advertise our security measures but a bit of common sense goes a long way and I am pleased to say that I have not (yet) heard of any PD having a serious problem. Possibly this is down to the fact that PD's do tend to be extremely intuitive (at least those I have met appear to have this trait in common) and this is perhaps why we dont have problems.

You may want to hint at the existence of security procedures because it will put off the worst people if they know that you look out for yourself. It's a good idea to call a friend, or at least pretend to, at the beginning and ending of your booking. If you work alone, don't advertise this. Say you have someone who works with you but they are out at the moment. If you have a secure entry flat, you may want to go and meet your client rather than buzzing him in. That way if you don't like the look of him or if, for example, there are two guys, then just don't let him in. This is also a good way to hide your flat number (as long as it isn't on the door).

Couldn't you register a company website and use CCBill? Then take payments without being too specific about what they're for.

I actually give the street name but not the door number....(just tell him to between number x and x) its so much fun observing and assesing your prey. Then a text follows with the House number!!!! I just dont advice the pretending calling a friend. Do call a friend in front of client so he knows!!!!!!
