I'd almost forgotten that cats can't eat chocolate. Will have to make myself a little note to remember. Can you get chocolate-like treats suitable for cats? I know dogs can get them, not sure about cats. And would these be human-compatible? Edited 7 Mar 10, 10:51 AM by MisterAngel

You could have dry cereal- cheerios, etc. It looks like dry cat food and you could have a bowl of milk with it! Nom nom nom!!!

And yes I know chocolate is poisonous, the only time he gets it is if he manages to steal it, like the first time he had chocolate cake. I reasoned that cats don't like non meaty things, ok to let the buns cool on the side... sensing danger my cuteness reflex kicked in

Yes you can and yes they are... I've eaten them - many years ago, when I was drunk one evening, I ate my friend's cats chocolate buttons. She couldn't tell me what I was eating for laughing - she told me the next morning, when I had sobered up! They tasted fine (as far as I can recall) and I had no ill after effects.
*Purrrrr....! "Truth is stranger than fiction."

Doggie chocs are vile, for humans. I feed my puppies (unsalted) nuts or dried banana as training treats. Google "home made cat food recipes" and you'll see lots of even more interesting ideas.
