In preparation for the formal adoption and collaring of my female slave, I have asked one or two tattooists in Bristol whether they are able to and willing to put Slave's barcode on her at the back of the neck. In both cases they have said this is outside their capabilites, due to the problems in ensuring that lines remain straight and well defined. Does anyone know of someone who has the skill to do this and replicate the wholde barcode accurately. I deally we would like to find this within the Bristol/S Wales area, but if needed would travel a reasonable distance. Help and advice will be greatly appreciated. Ronancb (TMR)

Have you given any thought to what standard you want? EAN13, Code128, ITF-14 are the common ones. Do you actually want to be able to scan it?

That's not the entire problem, true, it is entirely difficult to get an artist who can do the lines straight, but there is also a problem if the artist can do this, an optical illusion occurs so that they lines don't actually look straight! i have been after a barcode tattoo long before i signed up here and to the SLR and many tattoo artists have told me the same thing. What puzzles me is that i have seen pics online of barcode tattoos that look great, i'm obviously not asking the right artists. May be going to speak to a guy on Wednesday about it but he's in Fife, a bit far away from you, lol "The true man wants two things: danger and play. Does it have to be on the neck? i have my slave registration number on my hip and i would have my barcode on the other hip but we have decided on an ambigram instead ... to my mind on the neck is a bit too public and invites questions that may be awkward to answer in Sainsburys ... the hip or thigh however ...

If it's a Slave Register barcode then it's likely to be in that format, which can be found in links through this site. i do have a friend who managed to get a Jack Daniels barcode on his wrist that can be scanned, though i lost touch with him a few years back and i have no idea where he got it done but this is very rare due to problems i stated earlier. Not seen anyone with a barcode tattoo, and would have thought that no matter how good it was done, after a little while, with skin aging, wrinkling, and blemishing, it would begin to look quite poor. One tattoo I have seen on the nape of a neck, was a date. In this girls case it was her date of getting married, but could so easily be date of collaring. Just an alternative thought, in case you decide barcodeing is impossible to get right.

If I'd been awake enough to read it properly... My barcode tatt is above the navel, not on the neck happy volunteer for mind control and robotisation experiments |
