Ok, Mini-Rant didn't hit the spot.... This one's for the Dom/me's - especially the PRO ones...
I've just had 3 weeks of discussions regarding a 2 day abduction and forced consent scene. Weeks of emails, contracts being drawn up, 2 x 3hr round trips to meet IRL to make sure both parties were sane, consensual and understood exactly what the plan was. All going well at this point.
Lots more emails, calls, webcam, and one real letter in the mail, as requested by the "victim".
Next - logistics - Van hired (you can't abduct someone in the back of a 3 door hatchback), Hotel Booked (you need somewhere to camp out on a 2 day scene), Abduction Route Planned (this involved a 5 hour route walk, observation points planned, snatch points, parking points ruled in / out, Counter-CCTV surveillance check done as we don't want some guard thinking someone IS actually being kidnapped), New equipment purchased as per "victims" wishes for the scene, Co-Dom contacted and booked (and paid for in advance)
Then a text message - "Sorry, was never going to do this, just wanted the fantasy realized".
As this was one of my first PAID gigs I'm still finding my way in terms of offering a service for which people pay me and maybe I'm missing some of the tricks in ensuring I'm not wasting my time and providing someone with free wank-fodder.

ALWAYS ask for a deposit up front. No exceptions! 2-3 calls or mails to get the ball rolling with scenarios, availability etc is fine. Usually, after that, I find the boys are playing with their todgers. A small deposit will sort the wheat from the chaffe, and a genuine person will happily do that for you.

That is a huge pain. I'm sure that the Pro's can give you more specific advice. I think one thing that might be an idea is some signed Terms and Conditions with a non-returnable deposit if the client cancels. In my business we operate a scale of charges depending on how late the person cancels. This will also have the effect of scaring off any fantasists! When I have done multi day abductions, I have used either her car (car-jahcing!) or mine - but had her bound and blindfold using a pair of wrap around shades blacked out on the inside - very effective! And then kept them at home, blindfold or hooded for the first day, but then those were non-pro sessions...... I guess these days I'd take them straight to the dungeon. Does cut down on the costs tho. Better luck next time. Why poison your liver when I could eat it for you?

Hi guys. Good answers and the obvious deterrent seems to be the payment route. I *had* considered this beforehand but I guess nothing had ever gone wrong before so I ignored the little warning signs (and then paid the price). Luckily all the reservations were made by her, I did protect my liability in that sense at least but an upfront (refundable) deposit would have made more sense. It was to be a paid gig, and part of it was that she'd go to a cashpoint, withdraw the fee, then at a later point be taken from a public place with the cash being kept by me as both part of the scene and payment also. I'm with you on this one Jahc99, my own dungeon would do nicely (will look at hiring one in future).

I always study the prospective clients request(s).
If they start becoming too fanciful,then the alarm bells ring!
If you do suspect a W, quote a higher fee than your usual tribute-if they start to hesitate or reply 'money does not matter',again be cautious. Another way to sound them out is-ask them which area they come from. If it is quite a distance,it may be a time waster. You can also ask them-if they have experienced a session with a PD. Again listen to their reaction The problem is,the Pro W(s) will always be with us-it an unfortunate hazard of being a PD. | |

Any of them may be a time waster! I don't think distance really makes that much difference, within reason - many folks like to be well away from their home town in case they bump into someone they know. Why poison your liver when I could eat it for you?

Yes I'm sorry you were mucked around as well. It happens far too much to PDs On the subject of deposits I take Miss P's point. I'd be happy to send a deposit to an established domme who I knew had been around a while, had reviews/quite a bit of posting history etc. I'd be less inclined to do so to someone who had just set up - for fairly obvious reasons. That's a bit of a catch 22 for new dommes on the block I'd imagine. Deposits work well for the sort of thing you were setting up OP but do also cut out the on the day sessioner

I always get 50%on booking.also Miss P's point about only 2 or 3 mails/texts/calls before session is spot on.When I first got into the scene I was played for a fool by loads of genuine sounding folk...Im sad for you for your wasted time and effort,better luck next time. to give pain is my pleasure...... |
