Vince says:
Even though my parliamentary friends tell me that my answer must, in such circumstances, be suitably redacted, a good supply of a lubricant such as goose fat or, if you are concerned about latex and perishing, KY Jelly, provides more than sufficient quantitative easing to even the most violent of arse rapes.

We only need a couple more votes to make sure the question gets into the top 15 and gets answered, so please, add your votes and keep this issue in the public eye. http://www.google.com/moderator/#15/e=4333&t=433... Edited 24 Feb 10, 10:19 PM by grahamm

i would be willing to bet that any answer from the LibDems about ID cards and other civil liberties issues would be likely to refer to the Freedom Bill (as mentioned and linked to earlier in this thread) which they published a year ago to lay out the LibDem position on such matters. it even has a handy petition attached so you can register your agreement with it. Vince may also suggest that you might be better served asking Chris Huhne or David Howarth about such things, since they fall into their areas of responsibility rather than his as Shadow Chancellor.

Well it looks like we made it! The question is fifth on the "most popular" list, so it'll be interesting to see what the response is.

"Most"? "All of which" I think you mean. The banning was a hugely cynical and opportunistic bit of blatant electioneering which shamed the memories of the kids killed, allowing the officials that mishandled that lunatic by allowing him to own his guns despite the consistent warnings and red flags all over the place, to get off scot free. An accurate foretaste of the deliberate public manipulation that was to come from Blair. - Wulfy

Ah well, we didn't get a specific reply as such, but he did speak about the right of freedom of expression which touches on the threat posed by the Dangerous Pictures Act. See http://www.youtube.com/libdem#p/a/u/0/WzeHp2U1cQM at 2'32"

I agree which is a shame as Vince Cable has said some great things with regards to financial matters which would have stopped us getting into the hole we are in as a country. We will all soon feel the pain - tax rises are coming. Best M PS Shame I did not know about this earlier PPS Also a good question from Jennifer C from London. Space travels in my blood. And there ain't nothing I can do about it. Edited 5 Mar 10, 6:28 PM by misfit
