You are so lovely, with your white shaft and minty glow.
I enjoyed you in the sunshine, i could enjoy you in the snow.
I'd like one more puff to fill my lungs with you.
But i'm not allowed, cos it's Lent and someone else said no too.

Oi - i didn't! I've only been up about an hour or so. I have, however, spent the last five days thinking it, well, the outlined ideas anyway. mia, x "Passion should believe itself irresistible. Handy Hints from an ex-smoker: Get a fuckload of Chupa Chups and carrots (with humous... nomnomnom)... this will help get you over the first week when the nicotine-deprivation is the worst and you're constantly wanting that hand/mouth/cigarette combination. Know that it really does pass. REMIND YOURSELF REGULARLY that:
If you're a reader, try this for an alternative mental approach. You are NOT depriving yourself of anything: quite the opposite. You're not 'giving something nice up', you're taking control over an area of your life that has until now had control over you. You're getting fitter, healthier, stronger. You're doing something positive for yourself, because you're worth looking after. Good luck babe, you can do it. x ------------------------------------------ | |

Good luck! I've got a technicolour arse from my lapses and could still probably sell my soul for a cigarette. Still. I am no longer a smoker. I am no longer a smoker. Thats what I'm going to tattoo to myself whilst thinking about how much I WANT TO SMOKE! Grrr.

Yeah, what Crystal said. When I was giving up, I liked to look at a quitting timeline like this: http://smokefree.nhs.uk/quit-tools/timeline/ (Note the nicotine is gone in just two days! After that it's mental habit as CE said) If you want that book she mentioned, let me know. I have a copy of it going spare. Good luck miss. Outside of a dog, a book is a man's best friend.
