Yes it does, and now the thread has died down,
"open" has had the most thumbs up. "An open" sounds like some kind of event already, so I'm going to insert "open" before "meeting" and see how it evolves.

Well I liked "romp" as it is a noun at least, and sounds playful. But "open" is not bad.
There was a group in Houston, based on round table discussion, that was called "The Open Door" and was intended to be something different from the munches and play parties making up the rest of the scene.
