Opus?

Might depend on how much you regard this as science or art...

:-D

I like this as the first meeting would then be opus one, and that tickles me.

Nat

Then opus two and so on? That could work. Am i missing the humour though? I have stupids sometimes.

Open or opal are good too.

Sooooo many options. I'm not good with decisions. S'why why i'm sub, innit?! ;-)

"Passion should believe itself irresistible. It should forget civility and consideration and all the other curses of a refined nature. Above all, it should never ask for leave where there is a right of way." @Manchester

The Plenary.

OK - there's no "O" - but it does what it says on the tin - And, being absolutist, I like the definite article.

*laughing....did you get as far as Masterpieces? :-D - i'm not even musically able or inclined, but it tickled me too...

Seriously, i'm not sure it needs a name. I just like coming up with stuff like this, one of my perversions. :)

What we are today comes from our thoughts of yesterday, and our present thoughts build our life of tomorrow: our life is the creation of our mind. (Buddha)

Opus is a creative and great piece of work, particularly musical. I liked the sentiment behind it for same reason Nat did, and also the thought of this stuff being creative, and serious for some....and yet we can make it light-hearted. "munch" is hardly a serious word/concept, now is it?

More to do with my brain working in pretty obscure ways sometimes, than it being something obvious you missed. :)

And, AND..it *does* have the letters O and P in. :-D

Outpost?

Then you could change it to The Manchester OutPost, The London OutPost etc...

Overpower? For obvious reasons!

It doesn't exactly roll off the tongue (which I admit may be the aim here), but how about "Harnessed Opinions Swops" - okay, I know I am sad, but it *is* an anagram of O&P, and sorta describes what the meet will be about...

Okay, maybe not....

How about something simples like schmooze?

Moot.

"In Anglo-Saxon England, a folkmoot or folkmote (Old English - a meeting of the people) was a governing general assembly consisting of all the free members of a tribe, community or district".

The Moot.

Best to all.

Ooooooh I REALLY like it!

Although this may be due to my LOTR obsession....

*Mental note to self, Ents will not be present!* ;)

I like Open like an "open house" which sounds welcoming

Yes it does, and now the thread has died down, "open" has had the most thumbs up. "An open" sounds like some kind of event already, so I'm going to insert "open" before "meeting" and see how it evolves.

Thanks for the ideas everyone :)
