This copying of Imperial design philosophy does not bode well for the poor sods that have to work up there in the ISS. Imperial ships are famously built with a shocking disregard for even basic health and safety considerations. Minimal worker protection in hazardous locations, no handrails, work stations placed on narrow ledges over bottomless chasms, unshielded exhaust ports, tentacled things living in the trash compactors, etc. Those two who had to stand next to the laser when it fired should have gone on strike for a drywall partition. Our worst enemies here are not the ignorant and the simple, however cruel; our worst enemies are the intelligent and corrupt. | ||
