So, one drunken night a little while ago, a friend and I amused ourselves by making a list "must-haves" - really shallow and insignificant details that you can't imagine Mr Right without! Here's my example: Must drink tea. Must be tall. Must have siblings (preferably at least one sister). Must not be afraid to swim in large bodies of natural water (i.e. lakes/rivers/sea) Must not need babysitting at parties. Since this list, I'm a bit tempted to add "Must use vowels when typing" I'll admit as the night went on, I think we began to add such gems as "must be attractive" or "must be a non-wanker", but I digress... I would like to make it very clear that I would not let any of these facts affect whether or not I would date someone - they are just a bit of fun. And more accurately, a way to poke fun at our collective ex's. So what are your pet peeves that you overlook in friends, but wouldn't abide in "The One"? What traits are you glad to be well shot of?

Lies! I can't abide lies. Even the smallest, most insignificant white ones. In fact sometimes those are worse because there is absolutely no need for them. So, yes, lies would be a definite deal breaker for me.

MUST, keep their word, MUST, do the thing they said they were going to do, when they said they were going to do it, MUST live their life in an honourable way. Time keeping is a big bugbear with me, if you say you're going to show up at a certain time in a certain place, THEN DO SO! btw,With me this is universal not just partners.
