A real-world meeting (or meetings) was always in the back of my mind when I started this board, but how to make it happen, where, and how to make it a success has been the challenge.

One idea I've had is a roving singles munch. It could travel from major city to major city - or not-so-major city. Wherever enough singles are roughly located to meet. As munches generally happen in pubs, and don't require play equipment, finding locations shouldn't be too difficult. To make this happen in the real world, my idea is to have a set of core organisers. They would either approach someone, or be approached by someone, who would like to host a single's munch in their area. The core organisers would work with the person to promote the event, and attend it themselves if at all possible. This way their experience and contacts could be utilised to maximum effect, while bringing the single's munch to where the people are. The hope is that such an event would also pull people in from further afield.

One question worth asking: What is the goal of getting a lot of kinky single's together?

To possibly meet someone of interest?

To meet up with like minded people?

To socialize with people who aren't couples, and thus speak a common language?

I'm sure there are other reasons too. My only concern is ending up in a room full of male subs and male Doms. Or female subs and male subs. or... you get the idea.

so I think the trick is not only getting enough people together to make it worth while, but also possibly the right mix.

Not everyone is sub or dom. If it's going to be divided like that I definitely wouldn't attend as I don't identify as either. I know plenty of sub/sub or dom/dom couples. Although I prefer to use top/bottom for terminology because, as I said not everyone is sub or dom. Why can't it just be kept as open as possible?
