Following on from the Kinky speed dating thread the consensus seems to be that a club night or ice breaker event might be a good idea.
The idea is to have a tester event in London (or the surrounding area) and if successful look to hold events at other locations.
So two questions,
Would you come to a Kinky Singles Event?
And what kind of event should it be?

Yes, I'd certainly attend. I think a munch, was mooted before on the forum page..Koffee,Kink,and Kake to steel the name of a famous cafe which has sadly closed down

I was thinking a munch would be easier to organise, club nights tend to need capital up front. As for CCK no news on premises in their last newsletter, only that the hunt is still on. That is going to be the problem, get enough people in one place. Maybe add something special to a munch to encourage people to come along? anyone ever held a munch on the London Eye? Sorry to be terribly parochial but I'd not travel to London because of traffic and parking. I've got limited mobility. I'd happily travel further to somewhere where I don't need to depend on public transport and can park nearby without paying a bomb/getting nicked. I'm a threadkiller, twisted threadkiller | |

No idea if these guys would have the availability, but it's a fantastic venue, on the A5, 5 minutes off the M1 and within 40 miles of Birmingham, 20 miles of Leicester, 25 miles of Northampton, 15 miles of Coventry, 45 miles of Nottingham, 85 miles of London (ouch, sorry), 55 miles of Peterborough, 40 miles of Milton Keynes, etc etc etc....

You are never going to find something that pleases everyone. You are better off doing multiple munches or something. As much as some people don't want to travel to London for such an event it seems ludicrous to me to travel almost 100 miles for a munch when there are so many in London.

I'll be travelling 120 miles to Skin 2 North in Leeds next month. I'd not travel that far for a Munch, no, but if it was an event that interested me, I'd not hesitate. I do the 75 miles to Dominion (Derby) from time to time, 55 miles to the BBB, 50 miles to Ceasars.
I'm not lazy, it's just London isn't that easy for people not in London. Take a look at a map, it ain't that central
