It was Mistress's birthday yesterday. Having a birthday on Valentines day is no fun as your special day is overrun by others having their special day..
As we're up in Norfolk with Mistress's mother we didn't have a chance to try to find somewhere so the birthday lunch was a cheese and onion toastie in a garden centre.
We were supposed to be having a meal at home but ended up with other relatives so got back late and ended up with beans on toast topped with cheese.
We certainly know how to live!
There's a promise of a nice meal this evening!

Oh that is a poor day for a birthday. Well the day itself could be good - proper cold weather, a nice fire, a long night for whatever pleases - but the other stuff happening isn't great. Maybe it could be moved, with grand ceremony - how about 14th May? Or even one week later perhaps. |
