http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Billy_Connolly Whenever and in whatever context he opens his mouth, He seems completely candid and true to himself, his emotions and beliefs - even if he is challenging taboos and moral mores, he just says what he thinks and bollocks to whatever anyone else might thinks, but he even manages to do that with a charming innocence and lack of .....aggression. There is a guilelessness about him that is so refreshing. And funny as well!

Have seen him several times live in Hammersmith. Always an excellent show and had me crying with laughter!! Great observational humour.

When I was 10, he climbed through a pub window to sign my autograph book, writing "to beautiful Susan from ugly Billy Connelly" - bless FIFE & TAYSIDE MUNCH |

Apparently he used to own a mansion in a very posh part of my local stamping ground. I used to pass it on the way to work, and always enjoyed looking at the nameplate on the front gate - 'Gruntfuttock Hall'. |
