Bloody marvellous idea, I'm much in favour of rewards as well as punishment to aid with motivation... I'd certainly get off my backside if there was an exercise regime with fringe benefits... good luck, and keep it up "a sub shares things with her master she can barely admit to herself" Edited 4 Sep 11, 6:37 PM by SensualCreature

Note to self: if the girl goes blue, this is *BAD*.
Lol I can't believe 'they' (whoever the mysterious 'they' are) invented an acronym for someone saying how pooped they are on a scale of 1-10.
Oi Spongey, shut it - you're a bad influence on her

Loose-fitting bra + exercise (especially anything like running on the spot) is very bad for the breasts, so wouldn't advise this. Properly fitting sports bra is very important. I've found that doing abdo work (crunches and so on) really helps me during rope suspension, so there's a potential other benefit to that. Plus "drop and give me fifty" is a nice on the spot punishment perfectly in-keeping with a sadistic drill sergeant. I'd also echo the point about being careful re weight-loss. Some extra protein will help build muscles. Feed the exercise programme!

@bambam has a watch that tracks his heart rate that he claims keeps up his motivation (I'm gonna try it next time too) - he says he makes running more interesting for himself by making a game out of raising his heart rate to above 80% and then seeing how long it takes to get back down again (whilst still exercising) several times over. He says it also helps to know exactly how hard he is working and can tell exactly when he should stop or when his heart drops below a certain mark during a session. As one who's not too enthused by the prospect of exercise, I found it (on the one time I've been so far) much more bearable doing sessions in the gym rather than just running just because of the variety there is in things to do. Cardio is much more fun when you're only doing five minutes on four or five different machines. Check out @The_Art_Forum

This is one of the great things about being gluten intolerant! The tempatation to pop into McDs for a bite to eat is removed by medical reasons! Same goes for most take away actually! Could explain why I'm a svelt 9stone.

When I was a lad and a seven mile cross country in all weathers was compulsory. Our games master used to run behind the tail enders (of which i was always one) threatenning to slipper who ever came last for laziness, kepy me going, no wonder we have an obesity problem nowadays. And no I never did come last.

Don't forget a decent pair of running shoes. It might be worth going to a proper running shop and getting her gait analysed. Besides, any excuse for a new pair of shoes. |
