It depends, its usually the width thats the problem Womens shoes tend to be narrower so unless youve got narrow feet you need a larger size to make up for it or get the same size but with a wider fitting like EE or EEE The first rule of Brat Club, we don't talk about Brat Club...

... and of course, make sure they are UK size 11 and not US size 11. I can't remember the difference, I think US sizing is one number higher, but the website should have a size chart for you to double check that.

I always thought there was a difference, so I googled it and found so many different answers, that the only thing I can suggest is going into a shop and trying some on - stag night as an excuse if you feel you need one Wiki claims that they are the same. Another site claims a one size reduction (so a man's 11 is a woman's 10), another claims a half reduction (so a man's 11 is a woman's 10.5). I always thought it was the other way around! Gosh it's confusing! The other option is to consider a company that specialises in TS/CD shoes. I'm sure someone with much more experience in this area will help you out, but for now, this site seems to have quite a few links. XxX

they tend to be a size down, and both are different to US sizes. EU sizes are nongender so i just use that now edit: found this list to add more confusion o_0 http://www.rebelgirlz.com/index.php/Help/Shoe-Si... living in my own little world, and you're all invited Edited 12 Feb 10, 2:52 AM by caladia

Hi, I don't think this is off topic at all - quite the contrary. This is the shoe size conversion chart that I've used for some years and I've always found it to be accurate. http://www.i18nguy.com/l10n/shoes.html As you'll see, in the UK women's sizes are generally a half size smaller than the corresponding men's size. I've used this chart for some years for buying rubber boots on eBay NOT - and I want to stress this, so stop tittering at the back - because I like wearing women's shoes, but because I like boots that fit tightly, and women's tend to fit more tightly than men's as they are usually a narrower fit. The only thing you have to watch is that different manufacturers especially in the Far East are not too good at sticking to international sizes and some shoes come up small while others come up large. Yes. Usually. Suggest you try them on before buying, or at least check the returns policy.
If you have wide feet, I'd recommend Evans. I don't usually get anything there because my feet are too narrow. The closet's cosy and all, but outside there's room to move.

I'm a 9 in mens shoes, an 8 in a ladies shoe. I'm also blessed by having quite slender feet too so I have no width issues. Meddle Not In The Affairs Of Dragons For You Are Crunchy And Taste Good With Ketchup!

A US 11 would be about a UK 7½ (Euro 41)..
