It never bothers me, mainly because there is a very important family birthday on that day which always takes precedence. I spent the early part of the day with them then had a lovely afternoon walking through the woods with a delightful friend, chucking sticks for the dog and taking the chance of dry weather to crack some whips. Oh it's been too long since getting out to get the big whips moving - I have just about mastered a fast figure eight with the tasmanian cutback and florentined with my pair of 7 foot stockwhips. I even managed to get my friend over their fear of whips to see another successful whipcracker join the ranks. :)

Oh, and I sent as many cards as I received - that was more than zero and less than 10 so equilibrium rules.

There is no revenge so complete as forgiveness.:)
The nice lady with the whip.

I really really *really* don't like valentines day..

and I hate it even more when i'm single

If valentines day is about love then we should be saying I love you to all the people we love whatever their role in our life, lovers, parents, children, friends (we never say it enough to our friends do we!) and to ourselves :)

Ok I had a great time today as a single at LFF, but putting that aside, now for the unselfish part.

Well I'll tell you, yesterday I got a "begging letter" through the post from Barnardo's, the children's charity, good people I think you'll agree. It claimed they have an "emergency", a dire crisis, a shortage of funds to continue their excellent work with children in need. So..

As I'm single this year I haven't had to go to the expense of a card, flowers, chocolates and a nice meal for two. So I've popped a cheque for £20 in an envelope to them to do good things for children in need, spending less than I would have and having done some real good.

I feel great about Valentine's day!!
