I remember going to the Depeche Mode concert at the NEC and singing along to the original, back in 1990 (Yes I'm old I know just don't feel it). Got to say though this is better than the original. The original Depeche Mode - Enjoy The Silence Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass. It's about learning how to dance in the rain.

old? OLD? your the same age as me and I'm not old
and I remember the original too
It might have something to do with Cristina Scabbia but I think this is better too "I'm selfish, impatient and a little insecure. I make mistakes, I am out of control and at times hard to handle. But if you can't handle me at my worst, then you sure as hell don't deserve me at my best." ~Marilyn Monroe.

Ah well I was talking to my son who's 8 and daughter who's 5 about a month ago. My son wanted the Michael Jackson song Smooth Criminal and I said I think your mother has that on LP in the loft. What's an LP they both said, I said well they're about 12 inches in diameter and you put them on a record player then lowered a needle into the grooves on them to play the music. The look on both of their faces can only be described as pity in a look there's daddy he's gone mental kind of way. My daughter with hands on hips said needles are used for sewing badges on and music is played using lasers. Had to show her some record players being used on you tube before she would believe me. And yes that made me feel old. Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass. It's about learning how to dance in the rain.
