How are my resolutions going, you ask? You didn't, did you? Well balls to you for your distinct lack of interest. Ha!
Here i will go through each one and excuse my way through why i have yet to reach my goal of becoming an international ice-skating star, or whatever the fuck i was on about at the start of the year.
| 1. Lose weight. This one comes up regularly, but I would like to go on holiday this summer and I want to generally improve my figure, so by the end of the year I would like to have lost and kept off two stones. |
| 2. Be positive. I am generally a happy-go-lucky sort and probably in that annoying 'why is she so happy?' kind of way. I do however suffer from waves of negativity now and again, usually only directed at my housemate, who has no blame in my negativity, he just suffers, bless him. |
| 3. Not buy beef, lamb or rice to do my bit for the environment. Check out my earlier blog if you're interested in doing this too. I've already started this one whilst buying some cat food earlier today and bought the lovely Badger some fishy flavours instead. |
| 4. Travel to see my family more. My poor grandma has a broken pelvis and is generally quite poorly, bless her cottons. I don't know if we'll see another year with her, so this year has got to count. |
| 5. Let bygones be bygones. I can't change the past, but I can choose not to let it be a part of my present. Adiós bygones! |
| 6. Learn German. This is a fun one. I love languages. Languages are hot. |
That's not bad going really. It is only February, afterall. Go me.

Three wins, two loses, one draw - sounds like you are doing bloody well considering most of us (me included) don't make it past the first ermmmm day.... I saw a lovely thing once about how a resolution should be something you aim to achieve throughout the year, not something that changes on day one and has to stay changed for ever after. More about small lifestyle changes that actually make a difference - sounds like your winning all around on that basis! XxX PS - When you are finished with that abundance of will power, can you send some over here please? Mine seems to have gone missing this week....

What about the non smoking or was that not a resolution? "Social order at the expense of liberty is hardly a bargain."
