Evening all,
One for the subs really (i guess), but open to all.
Has there ever been a situation where after alot of research you then decide to enquire further with the mistress only to find that you don't click as or the mistress feels that a session would not work?
I think i've generally been very lucky. Since 2002 when I first entered the scene, only twice have I made contact to get a reply back similar to above. One i discovered later was doing naughty things (made papers) so I got lucky and the other was Mistress Rouge (i sulked for days...lol).
How has your history panned out?

Well not a lot of research as much of my PD visiting was pre internet days and I've been with the same domme for a really long time (13-14-15 years)
But, within the limited research available then, there have been disappointments once a visit has been arranged. One does stick in my mind - a well known PD who has (had) a great reputation. I was really looking forward to seeing her but when it got down to it she took it far more seriously than I did.
It wasn't anyone's fault that we didn't click - just our different takes on BDSM
If that happens you just have to put it down to experience and move on. It's, most likely, no-one's fault and there isn't much point in dwelling on it
And, yep, been turned down too. Once again, no point in brooding on it. In my experience, once a domme has made up her mind that's it
And, of course, may be nothing to do with you - just that the domme has made a misjudgement

I should make it clear that when we do refuse people for a session it's normally not a personal thing. I probably have a 50% pass rate through to session with me from an email enquiry nowadays. The selection is for your benefits as much as ours. It would do no one any good to have a session that was unlikely to work. www.mistresssusannah.co.uk

Sure
But then, maybe, you have to try and work out what is going wrong. If it was me I'd ask why the lady didn't want to see me - and go from there
I do get that it is very disheartening. I remember being turned down by a domme I'd always fancied sessioning with -and how puzzling and how irritating (not at the lady concerned but that I'd wanted to session with this domme and still did!!) it was
One of the problems is that you somehow think it's something about you - and, as Mistress Susannah indicates, it's mostly nothing personal - it still itches though!!! Edited 6 Feb 10, 6:53 PM by lisal

If it keeps happening then, yes, trying to figure out what's going wrong would be the best course of action (or possibly even asking the lady in question if she could provide any feedback).
Because of your second paragraph, I think I should just point out that that hasn't actually happened to me, I was speaking hypothetically. Try again. Fail again. Fail better. - Samuel Beckett

Yeah sorry
I didn't think you were talking about yourself. I was using "you" as being anyone it may have happened to. Bad choice of words...

I consider Myself quite diverse, however I would rather be genuine and not just accept someone's tribute, just because I can.
It isnt always the fact that a potential may not be right for Me, it is the other way around too. Visa versa.
My pass rate is 30%, so not at all personal, it is just that I am very particular that the session will be a success, for both parties " The only way to get rid of temptation is to yield to it. Resist it
and your soul grows sick with longing, for the things it has forbidden
itself"

Yup....that's a very good way of putting it. Your left with that feeling of "but, but, but....what i do wrong".
In my first year I had not got a clue about how most of the scene worked. I know I made a right tit of myself in the process. --------------------------------------------------- -------
