This cannot be true.
I hope the case fails and the people suing them lose loads of money, as they are just gold digging.

But on another note (pun intended) my brother told me about a band that I could not find anything about but I found this band (maybe he meant this one).

I remember singing the kookaburrah (sorry brain on it's way to bed and not sure about the spelling!)song and am struggling to see any resemblance.

If it sounds that much like it, how come it took 30 years for them to realise? The chancers. After all, everyone knows the Kookaburra song. I don't think it sounds close enough for them (M.A.W.) to have lost it, but they have. These cases are a real lottery. George Michael has to pay Barry Manilow for Last Christmas, and Oasis get away without paying fuck all to anyone. looks like their only hope now is to all convert to Islam and hope Cherie Blair hears the appeal.
Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us. Edited 4 Feb 10, 11:29 PM by tony999

i admit i thought this was a spoof......but then i carried on reading. Dear God!!!!! Some folk are actually totally and utterly beyond belief... Ok i am going to find something totally random then find something else completely unrelated and sue the pants off someone else for it... Yeah that'll work... *rolls eyes* "There is no such thing as liberty. You only change one sort of domination for another. All we can do is to choose our master."

I think in the early 80's there was a similar case concerning the theme to the film, "Chariots of Fire" and a theme tune from a Greek soap. In the end it was concluded that if you look hard enough you can find an older song which sounds like a hit.
