I think the thing with this (and with your previous thread about the glove/boots) is that it comes down to intention. In the same situation I'd have done exactly the same as you did, no matter who the person was or what they looked like. But it wouldn't have crossed my mind to then post about it on a BDSM website. Why? Simple. Because my intent would have been to be polite and helpful (as I hope I always am and was brought up to be) rather than to get my rocks off by being non consensually submissive to a complete stranger. Ok this was a lot less creepy than the last one (which incidentally I also would have done but in a much less creepy manner) but I'm still uncomfortable with the intent behind it. If it were me on the train I'd be really greatful that someone had made a point of telling me that my bag was going to get wet. However, the goodness would be taken out of it if I knew the intent behind it was entirely selfish and to get a bit of a kick for himself.
