I found myself wondering what all this 'x' prefixing and suffixing usernames was about. I wondered whether it might indicate a person has fallen in love - little kisses surround them....oh, how lovely, I thought.
A quick google shattered my illusions. No, it just means the unkissed username was taken, and the 'x' adds a unique and visually aesthetic quality.
I preferred my original unjaded belief!

The xx_ _xx thing doesn't mean anything here - but it DOES mean something when it comes to music. It typically designates punk bands (and hence their fans) as "Straight Edge" - bands who eschew drink, drugs etc. So there ya go
