I went to the Skin II North Ball in July and I've also been to Skin II Rubber Ball's in London (although gladly not the disastrous event in Dec 09). These have been GOOD events with nice people and well organised. I don't think Skin II will ever need telling again to take better care with their name and to properly vet organisers and venues to whom they licence their name…. everyone gets it wrong sometimes. After having spent the weekend in London and a splendid night at Club Rub (the new venue is really good), it makes me grateful that people are organising headline events in my neck of the woods. Anyone who has ever been to big events – either vanilla or kink – will know that they take some time to get off the ground and find their feet and to be honest I felt the July Ball in Leeds did very well indeed for a first time. Get the dancing right and you have damn nearly cracked it. Events and clubs come and go and perhaps London has (for the moment at least) had its day in terms of the 'big' event. Come to Leeds and get out of London; enjoy reasonably priced hotels, trains, petrol and drinks (although don't get the drinks and petrol mixed up please). The money you could save at the market will make it worth the train fare. The North is waiting to show everyone a good time and let's face it; Skin II have got something to prove so the chances of it all going wrong ought to be very slim indeed…. See you there x | |

We have extended the night to 3:00am thanks to the nice licencing people!!!
The afterparty starts at 2:30am!!
