Julie Bindel, a radical feminist, transphobic and misandrist, is going to appear at Queer Question Time, at Royal Vauxhall Tavern next week. http://www.facebook.com/group.php?v=info&gid=169... I'm going to try to attend, to the best of my abilities. I'm also going to send in a question and ask her where her knowledge about trans-people come from. And how come queer=kinky 'weird' sex,(and how that would be a bad thing) and how a broad spectra of inclusion in a LGBTQIA-movement would mean that it would include devil worshippers and cat-lovers. To put in the famous words from QT when Nick Griffin appeared "Mr Griffin, the feeling of repulsion is mutual" Anyone who wants to join?

I would love to be there. If she ever comes near Manchester or Liverpool she might be getting a visit. The question I would like to ask her is that when a man, a total stranger she has never met, decides to wear female clothes and adopt a feminine personality, what effect it has on her. it scares her it goes against all her conditioning and makes her itch and prickle the feeling is strong enough for her to scream about it on whatever paper will take her blithering she has this notion it's her job to condition the rest of society the same way she was conditioned, by people ranting about how bad, awful, degrading etc etc whatever words they use these days when she meets with strange men "i think" she thinks they are a rapist unless they prove otherwise, so her thinking is possibly warped anyway she seems to be just anti anyone that doesn't fit with her small box of a head can't think why the hell they have given her a slot on QT far more important things to sort out these days than the witterings of a frustrated, bias woman who obviously doesn't meet the right sort of people show me something different xkx

controversial comment but if someone was to give her a damn good rodgering on a regular basis with love in their eyes it mightn sweetn the witterings some most of what i have seen of her witterings, im sure that should be spelled writing, has been about sex and sexuality now i have to admit i dont go bindle chasing so i havnt read much, but that which i have read seems based around these two subjects tells a gurl a lot about the person doing the writerings show me something different xkx

Hey - I reckon IC could put up a formidable team if all the right players were available. Premier league quality. Not sure I could name a full team of 11 (and probably best not to embarrass them by naming) but as well as those above I can think of half a dozen more who could do a really good demolition job - using verbal "rotten tomatoes" and intellectual prowess and loads of experience. Wish I could be a fly on the wall. Best of luck to those who do go. Ubi caritas et amor, Deus ibi est. http://www.informedconsent.co.uk/posts/226772/ Edited 23 Jan 10, 10:51 AM by wonderer

no good throwing anything at the woman, as we have established, she has as much right to voice concerns as the rest of us, otherwise were all fucked she is already in a position to do a lot of good, from now on it is up to the reader as to work out if what she says is good, and quite frankly she hasn't filled me with any confidence that she is helping at all!! some of what she hints at, but doesnt deal with, has to be taken seriously some of what she rants about, isn't even important! i'm am absolutely sure that journalists have better things than this to put in a newspaper have you ever tried reading news 3 months late? it's weird! show me something different xkx

I'm pretty sure she went up against the fabulous Susan Stryker on the subject of trans issues in Manchester a few months ago ... A few of my northern queer pals went and said she was surprisingly open and good humoured. Hmm..
I am SO coming to this event. And I really don't think any team-building will be necessary. "Well-behaved women rarely make history" Edited 23 Jan 10, 3:55 PM by verte |
