Bayonetta, good game if you like that sort of thing, ie completley mental plot, non stop action, annoying camera angles, high degree of camp pervery, a game you need the reaction speed of a 12yr old whos just downed several cans of red bull for...
Im replaying through on hard now and dying every few feet, just to try unlocking outfits and other stuff. Thoughroughly enjoyed it, but then i only paid £12 for it, not the £42 Certain stores were asking for it, if i'd paid full price i'd probably be a bit miffed. SO get it, but get it cheap!

Haven't found that at all. I mean no more so than any other game in 3D.
Nah. You just stand there until one of the mobs obviously and slowly telegraphs it's attack (except for the grace & glory which are a little annoying). --- Ha!

Grace & Glory do my f**king head in. And Gracious and Glorious. And on the harder settings its started throwing them at me every few bloody minutes. Ugh! The lesbian masturbating Seraphim are fun to fight though!

My teen son traded in some games at the weekend, and got Bayonetta, and a new game called PAIN both on ps3.

Bayonetta's amazing. First game I got 1000 GP on too. But once you get into the parrying it gets even better. And there's loads of unlockables. It's just a brilliant game.

Tt's not my type of game at all really. I did like how what would SHOULD be a repetitive game managed to be quite different and original. What I hated was the story that didn't make sense and I wasn't quite sure if it was trying to be kitsch, camp, abstract or funny but all it managed was lame. I didn't the arcadey SEGAness of it, the horrible soundtrack and the look of the main character. That being said the gameplay was very addictive and entertaining and had a lot of depth despite looking shallow on the surface. I found it jolly good fun. More so if I didn't watch the cut scenes. I still something horrible to happen to her at the end. She's the single most irritating character to feature in any game ever. Fun game though. Apparently the PS3 version was a bit broken. IGN game the xbox one 9.1ish/10 and the PS3 one 7.9ish/10 I think. you can spend your time alone redigesting past regrets

I'm a fan of Platinum Games' work, Madworld was good, and their previous games on the PS2 were good too. Think they maybe need some new ideas now though. I was a bit put off by the reviews that claimed Bayonetta was a bit too short, but then again, I've never been one to go strictly by reviews. Dante's Inferno got horrible reviews and was essentially a God of War clone, but I enjoyed it a damn sight more than God of War for some reason. Also I hated Devil May Cry and Onimusha but I was still intrigued by the Bayonetta demo for some reason. I have to confess as well, the fetishism in that game is a draw as well. The is also X-Blades, Wet (Eliza Dushku *drools*), Bullet Witch and many others with scantily clad or fetishy looking characters. Bayonetta is probably the game Bullet Witch should have been. Unfortunately, most of these are pretty shit. Edited 10 Jun 10, 3:05 PM by CaptainQuo

Yeah, from what I read they are. Bayoneta is really well done for what it is. I tend to fall for most games that are well executed even if they aren't generally my cup of tea. With the exception of war games like call of duty and football games and realistic driving games. They just don't do anything for me at all. I still wanna play God Of War. I have an xbox 360 unfortunately. Also I didn't particularly like the Jack Black game even though it's something that I would typically enjoy. The art style bugged the hell out of me. I hate that whole RAWK AWN! dragons and fire and Ozzy Osbourne type deal. Tis why I preferred Rock Band to Guitar Hero too (even though my dad worked on the Guitar Hero games.). The art style in Rock Band was yummy.

From the trailer that looked EXACTLY like Devil May Cry, which was pretty but mediocre several years ago. I guess it is hard to tell without giving it a play though. Of course, for kinkiness nothings beats the seminal Dungeon Keeper 2: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3hwpbV6Dq0k&featu... I think that could have been a childhood influence actually...
