Need Dungeon Sounds Can anyone tell me where I can a mp3 file of Dungeon Sounds? Sort of thing I'm looking for is background sound that can be played to help set the scene. Things like chains rattling, a dripping of water, the occasional distant faint screams and whimpers all with echoes to them. Any ideas where I can find such? Cheers FH

What a cool idea! Just 'google' it - you get loads of downloadable dungeon sounds, if you take a little time you can get loads for free.

There was a BBC sound effects vinyl album. Don't know if it's ever been released as a CD though.

This has to be the first place to look, I use it a lot.
www.freesound.org Don't forget when searching to use alternative words for objects and try US spelling too, the search is pretty dumb and only finds sounds who's descriptions match what you type.

Thanks for the suggestions guys.
I've spend quite a few hours playing with some software and a whole load of sound effects.
My idea is to be able to play a loop into a subs ears while blindfolded, help with the general feeling of the fantasy.
Unfortunately I couldn't create the kind of thing I had orginally envisaged, mainly due to lack of specific sound effects for what I wanted to create.
It was a fun experiment and I'm looking forward to trying it out.

I did exactly that at one of our recent parties. It worked well. I also did a much more elaborate one with a whispered commentary and instructions. It's well worth the effort.

'Death and Horror' and 'More Death and Horror' released in about 1978 but here: http://www.brooklynvegan.com/archives/2005/10/mo... When we were doing the post prod on the LCPS movie, I found all the sound FX we needed free online, including dripping water. The deal seems to be that the originator will let you have a passable copy for free, but if you want one at professional quality, you have to pay for it.
