hospitals couldnt organise a piss up in a brewery. I got there on time, as arranged, only to be told they didnt have me on the lists for today, and didnt know when I was actually due in. typical. so what now? wait, wait and wait again, until someone decides its time they did something? being pissed off would, right now, be an improvement on how I actually feel.

I agree When I go to the hospital now I take a good book and take the day as a holiday. The last time I was there I had a 3.5 hour wait so by the time I have got there and back I will be damned if I am going to work. I used to be annoyed and now I am just used to it. If I start out at 9am and get back before rush hour I am happy and the hospital is only an hour away. I know when I have to discuss this with my boss he used to exasperated so know I just waste a days holiday. It is the only way I can keep my stress levels down. M

If you want some answers as to why this happened, get in touch with the PALS unit (Patient Advice and Liaison Service) and ask them to investigate. Every hospital trust has one, they are there to arbitrate on the behalf of the patient and they get answers. all becomes clear... someone forgot to add me to the lists... no-one seems to know how, so now we do it all again on Feb 3rd... wonder what will stop it this time? cynical? me? never!!!! |
