'Next, Please' has kind of been the sound track to my life for the last couple of months. Fuck that actually, the last half of a year. I've not been looking for anything, but in the back of my mind i've been hoping that the gods of fate would hear that and sort something out. You know about that old chestnut that you only ever 'find' people when you're not looking. But things had got silly. I'd given up “giving up” and had actually, literally, given up.
My life had been pretty good really. I earn enough money to clothe, feed and house myself, with sometimes enough spare to get me so pissed that i forget my name. I have a good range of good friends, some to help ease the troubles in life and some to help ease the hangovers. I like my job on more occasions than i hate it. My car hasn't killed me, yet. So really, giving up the sparkling armada wasn't even a conscious decision, it just happened.
Then, something else happened. I went to my first U35s munch. It was one of those ironic ones where even crusty people can go. It was at the start of all this stupid weather, so I was wrapped up in layers and layers, big boots and scarves to hide my skin. I didn't hear the name of the person who introduced himself, despite him being sat next to me. Had i have heard, i'd have probably been on my best behaviour. People like him don't want to be sat next to pint-drinking, hat-wearing, potty-mouthed pixies like me.
Hmmm...
So i stopped, and it started, and somewhere on the other side of this wide night and the distance between us, i am thinking of you and this is what it is like, or what it is like in words.

This give me great faith actually, not that i drink pints or wear hats, but yanno i can be a little "potty-mouthed" too at times i guess
I'll raise a glass, mine's a wine one, to not only being found when you're really not looking but also to a future which is going to present some very intresting challenges.
Congratulations to you both... i hope you both really enjoy the ride.

Congrats hon. And not before time, you deserve a bit of good stuff. Much squee. One of God's own prototypes, a high powered mutant of some kind, never considered for mass production. Too weird to live, too rare to die.

I'm kinda walking on a thin layer of air at the moment. Don't mention that to Tanos though, cos I need to keep up my cold, hard, non-squee image!
