Sounds like a great way to play, but I drop my phone in the bath on a fairly regular basis (yes I know I'm a plonker!) and have to wait for a replacement handset!! Also, don't forget yer phone charger or things could get a bit awkward!! LOL And..... Don't forget to pay yer bill or you might get barred from sending text messages!! (Happens to me all the time!! LOL You're only supposed to blow the BLOODY DOORS OFF!

Combination locks are a bit of a killer for this product in general Regards, Tanos

I'm curious about all the things like the number you call. Will each lock have to have their own number or do you send to one number with a code after it? And do you have to send any text or does it have to be a specific message? If it can be any message and goes to a code after a number then you could end up opening anyone's lock. I always behave. I just don't specify how.

The advert for this is all a bit fanciful and unrealistic in terms of postal and courier deliveries.
Parcel delivery services are notoriously reluctant agree to anything which may complicate the delivery, slow the driver down or give a delivery time which is anything less vague than morning or afternoon. I doubt many would have the driver make a phone call or text before a delivery. If someone isn't available the instant they arrive you would most likely still receive a quickly scribbled card.
I'm guessing mobile phone circuitry based on a sim card would be used in the receiver. A wrong number may end up with the text going to someone else's phone but there's little chance it would open someone else's lock. Although any text wrongly sent to your lock's number would probably open it because it would require quite a complex device to be able not only to respond to the receipt of a text, but then also to determine it's content and automatically act upon it accordingly.

Hang CBs, what about having the system set up to activate a clit stimulator remotely - quite safe and reversible, but adding a rich vein of anticipation to the day.

I think it is a fabulous idea - for instance either long distance relationships or the ability to unlock the cb in an emergency/necessary situation, without having to leave a spare key with your sub. For us, one of the problems is if I am up north and he is in London, then if he goes to the gym, the cb needs to come off. This way I could unlock it when he asks for permission to go to the gym, then see him put it back on, whilst on cam, knowing he doesnt have a key.

As someone who used to do a lot of self-bondage with chains and padlocks, the challenge was always to find a way to not allow yourself to release the chains when you wanted. One way is to freeze the key, or slip it over a stocking with ice in the toe. I also once used a time-lock program that let you scan in a picture of the combination to the lock (which you had randomly set and not seen). That jpg file was then encrypted by the software and you could view the combination until a set amount of time went by. You could also program it to randomly release the picture between a set of hours. But, I always thought that a system to remotely release a lock would be really handy. Even if the padlock in question is too big and bulky to wear on the person, it could lock a box with the keys to the smaller padlock. Gives a whole new dimension to 'key holder'. But, not sure how big the market is, probably pretty small. Pen You say Ouch like it's a bad word.

having a similar background, that is why I am so cautious of a single lock with anything more complicated than a key to release it. If you look at self-bondage sites (www.boundanna.com is probably the best) you will see a lot of effort goes into making sure you have a back-up release (or several) As Pen says, relying on ice to melt is a common primary release. A secondary release might be a can of engine oil containing the key, on a shelf over an expensive carpet, pull on the string to get the key but ruin the carpet. So if you do go down the route of remote control locks, please bear this in mind.
