Jules you remind me of me! I like a right good beating but was dead scared of going to a swingers' club

I've been to Townhouse twice on a Saturday night and did feel a little scared (no idea why really!) as I'd never been to a swingers venue/night before in my life (it's still my only two experiences to date so I can't compare it to other venues I'm afraid.)

It's not something I'd ever considered trying as the public/casual sex thing isn't really my thing, and only ended up going the first time completely by accident as I'd been adbucted by good friends (to help me out of a sticky situation) and taken with them (thanks again for that guys, that was fun xx)

I had a preconceived idea that it would be some icky venue with loads of icky people with pressure on to get 'involved' but I'm happy to say I couldn't possibly have been more wrong and to say I was impressed would be an understatement.

It's a fabulous venue with loads of space and really great clean and tastefully decorated play spaces. The crowd were ALL lovely decent friendly interesting people (I have no doubt that credit for both here needs to go to the lovely couple who own/run the venue/club and discussion with them confirmed that they are very discerning about membership and the specific mix of members attending on any one night so as to ensure a well balanced crowd and great ambience. I think that's got to be vital to their success.)

I enjoyed myself so much I went back again. Both times were on Saturdays and there may be different crowds/themes on depending on the night so I'd check that out.

I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it even purely for a social evening with a bit of added kink, if you're not interested in anything more. I'd have to say that I was shocked that the social element was so enjoyable, I had this mad idea of having to step over bodies all over the place! couldn't be further removed. It's more a vibe of, well the opportunity is there if you are so inclined (and meet someone you like.) What I also like is that there are private rooms as well so if you were there with a partner but just wanted some private fun, then that's an option too.

What's really great about it though for those of a kinky nature, is that they do have a very nice dungeon room which tends to be free most of the time (certainly on the Saturday nights I've been which weren't kink nights) and there are usually a few kinksters who go on the other nights too.

This leads to a really great mix where it's very relaxed and easy to chat openly both about sex and about fetish.

Contrary to complaints that I've read of swingers sometimes being a bit 'forward' I've no experience of any problems of this sort myself. Certainly there's a bit of friendly interest sometimes if you chose to play in the dungeon but I didn't experience anything untoward. I did get a few offers for sex, which was nice and no problems whatsoever when I politely declined.

This reminds me I *must* make an effort to come back down to Townhouse again sometime soon, I have a couple of friends I've told about it who are also very keen to come.

Have still not managed to get to a fetish event there as it's difficult for me being a week night.
