@mia and I went for a walk round town after a brief stay at the Manchester Munch this afternoon. The BDSM/Fetish shops we went to were Kiku (corsets), Nua (anti-sleaze sex shop) and RoB (rubbery, leathery bondage gear and stuff - squarely aimed at guys though.) Are there any others you'd recommend in Greater Manchester, or the region?

It was discussed after you left the munch the one thing that manchester lacks is a fetish market such as bbb or lam Such a shame that the there isn't anywhere big enough.

If people have suggestions for the sorts of things they'd like to see sold at Nua please let me know, and I'll take consideration when ordering. Compliance for fun? Hell yes.

I am going to try a non-profit market in Liverpoool(low cost to stall-holders and nominal entry). I'm hoping for North West suppliers, including all you BDSM crafts people. I know men's clothing is a little sparse as a lot of it is bondagey so if anyone is in that field please get in touch. I think everyone should like everybody ..... Andy Warhol

It was great fun. For those that haven't been in the above mentioned, I shall share my thoughts on them forthwith! Kiku - lovely looking shop with plenty of corsets on display. Such a good job I wasn't out for a spending spree and that it was way too cold to get my boobies out, otherwise I imagine I'd be a couple of hundred quid down and a few corsets weighing me down on my trip home. The lady who worked there seemed nice and friendly too, which is always good in shops where you will inevitably need assistance at some point. Nua - what a refreshing change. Sex shops shouldn't look like expensive hair salons, but it really did. It was so clean, with everything really nicely displayed and priced up. The only thing I did think was missing was comedy male thongs that you can press and they play a song. No, wait a minute, it was actually fine without them. (Don't get them in Sarah - it was one of my hilarious jokes!) Rob - this was a little more hardcore than Nua and had some wicked stuff in. As much as it is aimed at gay guys, the man in the shop was really friendly and we had a little chat, which was nice. I'm also glad we stayed away from the 7ft dildos. Slight exaggeration, perhaps, but fuck me! Well, actually; don't! I especially liked the fact these shops were off the beaten track a bit, but the shops themselves were far from seedy. It kinda felt like a good match. I'd be interested to know where some more fetishy books might be sold, cos there didn't seem to be a great selection in Nua or Rob and I doubt Kiku had any, but I didn't really look. mia, x "Passion should believe itself irresistible. Oooh, I could make cakes in the shape of genitals if you want? Will definitely try to get over to this once it's up and running. I've not been to anything kink related in Liverpool before, which is silly really as it's not far at all. mia, x "Passion should believe itself irresistible. Ohhhh you must come to Liverpuddle. Your cakes would be perishable and it may be tricky for you but if you want to make some promotional material to give out for future orders that wouldn't need a stall at all. I think everyone should like everybody ..... Andy Warhol

Eeeek, I answered this as Liverpool being part of 'the region' before noticing it's in a 'Mancehester Group's' weblog. Sorry for gatecrashing. I think everyone should like everybody ..... Andy Warhol

I wouldn't worry, Liverpool counts as Greater Manchester anyway, as does Leeds, which I also intend to gatecrash about at somepoint. mia, x "Passion should believe itself irresistible.
