I have a better idea still how about you turn up to an event one day, and we have an entrance charge of £5 that they can either give to you for making them laugh or give to your good friend ladyanna to cane your arse 6 times if they haven;t found you funny.
i can't think of anything to say here | ||||||

The scene as a whole is heaving with snobbery. There are those who, as has been said, deride those who pay for it as being unable to get it for free when they might simply be arranging their world as they see fit and are therefore in an alpha position. I would not, of course, know the ratio of desparate:alpha and that would colour the matter. Then there are some pro-dommes who act like they're top of the heap without justification. I've been asked in a challenging fashion whether I'm a professional in the field, the implication being that charging for it makes you automatically superior. Well, I have done pro-dom work and, like dispatch riding, it almost put me off what I love. I still teach pro-dommes though. And then there is the quesion, more in the US than here, thankfully, of whom you trained with, how long you've been at it, etc. and a hierarchy drawn up with dungeon monitors at the top. Seems they're big on certification. That said, the best of fetish clubland is quite egalitarian from what I've seen. Those pro-dommes who are not employed by the club as house dommes and those who would at another time be paying punters are all rubb(er)ing along doing what they like best. As to PD v prostitution, I think the former should be more likened to physiotherapy, teaching skiing or some other service industry where the purveyed product is a skill. The primary product in prostitution is one's body. The oldest profession, they say, and attitudes to it are just as old. The only elevation of it comes with higher prices. Yrs. &c., |
